Students express appreciation for your gifts to MHC:
Clare Adams 2010
From the moment I sent my application to the moment I set foot on campus, I knew that I had found a home at MHC. I am now the fifth woman and third generation of my family to attend this institution, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Already, the friends I have made here are dearer to me than I could have hoped for. The small class sizes and amazing faculty have forever marked my education as extraordinary.
Louise Junker 2008
Mount Holyoke’s strong tradition in the sciences was certainly part of its attractiveness to me, but I would say that the emphasis of a liberal arts education on integrating various fields of interests into one undergraduate experience is really what pushed me. Although many liberal arts colleges can achieve this quite well, none can do it the Mount Holyoke way, where women really are able to leave this place with a need to purposefully engage in the world and make a difference.
Molly Alvin 2010
For me, the opportunity to live and study at an exceptional liberal arts college is a dream come true. Never does a day go by when I am not thankful for the opportunities and experiences I have in being part of this exciting community of scholars. It is an amazing institution that has made me stronger, more confident, more articulate, more passionate, and a more aware young woman.
Amy Acker 2009
There is something so enriching about coming home to a community of women, where each individual is different and passionate in her thoughts and ventures. Now, when I am challenged, I have a peace of mind that I know must come from my time here.
Sonal Singh 2009
Mount Holyoke has built an international community that provides students a large arena for multi-cultural exchange, where they learn different perspectives and gain a good understanding of today’s globalized and interdependent world. Without the support from donors like you, women like me would not get the opportunity to pursue their academic goals. Thank you so much for helping Mount Holyoke in their endeavor to bring light to the lives of thousands of women.
Andrea Amberg FP 2009
I was longing for the intellectual growth that a liberal arts education would provide, and Mount Holyoke was my first choice. Mount Holyoke College’s dedicated faculty and rigorous academics strengthens and enlivens my life. I will be forever grateful for these years. Thank you for your readiness to contribute to my education.
Stephanie Forbes 2008
Although I looked at several other prestigious colleges, Mount Holyoke continued to intrigue me throughout my college search. Several women in my family, including my aunt Susan Gaylord ’74, attended Mount Holyoke. I was inspired by the accomplishments of these strong women over the years; I wanted the same experience. Mount Holyoke's reputation for empowering women guaranteed my decision.
Maureen McVeigh 2010
In just over a year, Mount Holyoke has become my beloved home, a place in which I feel completely myself and am continually challenged, stimulated, and supported by my amazing peers and instructors. Without gifts such as the Annual Fund Scholarship, I would not be afforded the opportunity to become a part of an environment so rich with opportunities for intellectual and personal growth.
Katherine Heaslip 2008
Thank you for making this wonderful experience at Mount Holyoke possible for me. I will forever carry my four years here in the most positive light; they have opened many doors for the future that otherwise would have remained closed.
