You may be able to accomplish more with these assets by designating them to Mount Holyoke. If left to noncharitable heirs (other than your spouse), retirement plan assets are subject to income and estate taxes. With a change of beneficiary form, you can designate Mount Holyoke as a partial or whole recipient of your retirement plan. You can also designate Mount Holyoke as a contingent beneficiary providing for the collge should your primary beneficiary predecease you.
