How Can I Become a Participant?

Thank you for expressing interest in the Intergroup Dialogue Project. The Fall 2009 semester dialogues will be focused on race/class, religion/belief identity, ability, women of color/multiracial intragroup and gender/sexuality.

The groups will begin the week of September 21, 2009 and run for approximately 8 weeks. The time commitment will be once per week for 2 1/2 hours and there will be one Saturday dialogue scheduled on Saturday, October 3 2009, from 10 am – 5 pm.   Please put this on your calendar.  Specific needs of your dialogue will be determined by participant availability.

On the participant questionnaire, you will be given the opportunity to rank your preference for participation in a race/class, religion/belief identity, women of color/multiracial intragroup or gender/sexuality dialogue.

In order to ensure that dialogue groups are truly intergroup dialogues (i.e. that they include members who identify with a variety of races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and socio-economic backgrounds), it is vital that we gather as much information as possible about the social identity groups with which you identify. We ask that you complete the participant questionnaire as soon as possible. While all information is voluntary, please supply as much of the following information as you feel comfortable sharing.

If you have questions or concerns that were not answered, email Tanya or Elaine.
