8:00 am–1:00 pm Residence Halls Open/Residential Students Check-in Room keys, your arrival packet, and the Orientation schedule are available at your residence hall. Residential FPs: Pick up keys, arrival packet and the Orientation schedule at your residence hall. FPs assigned to Pearsons Annex: Pick up your keys and arrival packet, and the Orientation schedule at Pearsons Hall (next door to the annex). Commuter FP’s: Will receive keys, temporary OneCard, and arrival packets during the 1:00 session at the FP House.
8:30am - 9:30am Meeting for Foreign Fellows, International Guests, and Exchange Students, (FF, IE, IGS,) Meet with Donna Van Handle, dean of international students, to learn about the Certificate for International Students. Porter Lounge, Porter Hall
9:00 am–3:00 pm Hospitality Oasis
The College chaplains and religious advisers offer refreshments and a place to put your feet up. They will be available to answer any questions about religious life on campus. Come by and say hello. Eliot House Lounge
10:00 am– 12:00 pm Student Work Clearance Meeting (I) Review of immigration regulations that apply to foreign citizens studying in the U.S. This is a very important meeting and attendance is required. Students who plan to work on campus must complete required forms (I-9 and federal/state tax forms). Bring your passport and original travel documents (I-94, and I-20 or DS-2019). 10:30am – 11:30 am Day Students Check-In Pick up your arrival packet and Orientation Schedule and meet other day students at the day student lounge. Plan to attend the picnic lunch on the green as a group at 11:30 am. 333 Blanchard Campus Center
9:00 am–12:00pm Tours of the Campus Meet by the front steps of Blanchard Campus Center. Tours leave on the hour.
11:30 am–1:15 pm Picnic Lunch on the Green (A) For all new students and families. Pageant Green Rain Plan: Picnic will be cancelled and Abbey-Buckland, Ham-MacGregor, North Rockefeller, South Rockefeller [not accessible], and Prospect Dining Halls will be open for regular meal service.

1:00pm – 2:00 pm Hall Meeting (A) Meet your Hall President (HP) and Student Advisors (SA) in the living room of your residence hall for introductions and important announcements. At this meeting you will sign up for an appointment with your SA to answer any preliminary questions and to prepare for your faculty advising appointment on Tuesday afternoon. 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Frances Perkins Special Registration Discussion (FP) Bring your arrival packets to this very informative event. Learn What-To-Do-First (and where you need to go to do it!), review the Orientation Schedule, and have all the events explained so you can decide what you really need to include in your plans. Upper-class FP’s will be on hand to answer questions and introduce two Orientation games to help you hit the ground running. You won’t want to miss this event! (Babysitting available.) 2:00pm - 2:30 pm Getting Connected to the MHC Network All you need to know to connect to the MHC network in a 1/2 hour! This workshop will show you the steps to configure your network settings and request and IP number. Dwight 101

4:30pm –5:30 pm President’s Reception for New Students and Families (A) Joanne V. Creighton, President of the College, invites new students and their families to a welcoming reception to meet members of the College community. 5:00pm –7:00 pm Dinner Abbey-Buckland, Ham-MacGregor, North Rockefeller, South Rockefeller (not accessible), Prospect, and Wilder Dining Halls and Blanchard Café. (Blanchard Café is available as part of the meal plan after 4:00 pm until midnight.)
7:00pm –8:00 pm Floor Meeting (A) Meet with your student adviser (SA) to discuss hall culture and customs, skills for community living, academic life at Mount Holyoke, and how to take advantage of the opportunities available at the College. Leave with your SA to walk over to Orientation 101. Individual Residence Halls
8:00–10:00 pm Orientation 101 (A) Join in a first-night Mount Holyoke tradition that highlights MHC traditions, conventional wisdom, and showcases a variety of student organizations on campus. The only prerequisite is a sense of humor! Chapin Auditorium, Mary Woolley Hall
