Student Attendance at Faculty Meetings
During the academic year, the faculty holds regular meetings, usually on the first Wednesday of each month at 4:00 PM. Twenty places are reserved for students: six for officers of the Student Government Association and members of The Mount Holyoke News staff, and the remaining fourteen for any students wishing to attend. Should more than fourteen students wish to attend, places are given to the first fourteen who sign up with the associate dean of the faculty by noon on the day of the meeting. Students attend faculty meetings without voice or vote.
The agenda of each faculty meeting allows time, usually at the beginning of the meeting, for brief student remarks. Students wishing to speak to the faculty should notify the associate dean of the faculty as far in advance of the meeting as possible.
The faculty reserves the right to declare, by appropriate procedure, any meeting or portion of the meeting closed to all but the teaching faculty.
