Orientation Board Application
What does the Orientation Board do?
Orientation is a great way to get to know other students and become involved in the Mount Holyoke Community. The Orientation Board is a student-run organization that plans Orientation in conjunction with the Dean of Students. The Board meets weekly throughout the year in preparation for both Spring Orientation and the next year’s Fall Orientation.
A large part of work is also done during the summer, when one or more members of the board choose to remain on campus and work in the Office of the Dean of Students.
The greatest time commitment required of the Board members is the week prior to Orientation. Your availability during Fall Orientation and the week prior to it (August 29-September 10, 2009) and Spring Orientation (last week of January 2009) are crucial.
Please keep in mind that residential life positions (Hall President, Student Advisor), as well as athletics, and dining services managerial positions will conflict with this commitment. Please note any potential fall conflicts in your application.
Eligibility: Only first year students and sophomores not going abroad are eligible to apply.
