Logs July 2007
- Below is
a listing of all incidents and accidents reported to the Mount
Holyoke College Department of Public Safety. Each listing includes
the date and time of the report, a description of the incident
or accident which includes the location of the event, and a case
number and case status. These are provided for the education of
the community, as well as to satisfy the requirements of the Federal
Right to Know law. Please feel free to call Public Safety at x2304
(or (413) 538-2304) if you have any questions about incidents
occurring on campus.

- NOTE:
This log reflects only incidents reported to Public Safety that
occurred on the Mount Holyoke College campus. Incidents involving
our students off campus are reflected in the logs of the investigating
department.
July
22 and July 28:
On July 25 at
5:50pm officers responded to Dickinson Hall to assist a student
who was not feeling well. She was assessed and was transported to
the hospital by ambulance (Incident #07-208-OF).
On July 24 at
1:00pm an employee reported that she struck a parked car while turning
into the Torrey Lot. The owner of the parked car was notified. There
was damage to the driver's side of the parked car and to the front
end of the vehicle that was turning into the lot (Incident #07-16-AC).
On July 23 at
7:51pm officers responded to the Amphitheater to assist a woman
who was not feeling well. She was transported to the hospital by
ambulance (Incident #07-207-OF).
On July 23 at
6:42am officers responded to Ham Hall to assist a camp attendee
who was injured. She was assessed and was transported to the hospital
by ambulance (Incident #07-206-OF).
July
15 and July 21:
On July 21 at
3:20pm officers received property via the mail belonging to Mount
Holyoke College students. The property was inventoried and placed
into storage and the students were notified so they can retrieve
their property (Incident #07-205-OF). Case Closed.
On July 20 at
6:43pm officers responded to Porter Hall to assist a camp attendee
who was injured. She was assessed and camp staff transported her
for care (Incident #07-204-OF).
On July 19 at
11:00am an employee in Clapp Hall reported receiving an annoying
telephone call (Incident #07-203-OF). Case Open.
July
8 and July 14:
On July 11 at
3:24pm officers responded to the Athletic Fields for a report of
an individual with a medical problem; he was transported to the
hospital by ambulance (Incident #07-202-OF).
On July 11 at
8:16am officers responded to the Equestrian Center to assist a contractor
who had fallen. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance
to be evaluated (Incident #07-201-OF).
On July 8 at
5:12pm officers received a report that a man walking round Upper
Lake may have been bitten by a snake. The man did not see a snake,
but had puncture wounds and felt discomfort. He was rendered first
aid care and referred for further medical follow-up (Incident #07-200-OF).
July
1 and July 7:
On July 5 at
2:39pm a student reported that her iPod was missing from her jacket
when it was left unattended on the Athletic Fields (Incident #07-199-OF).
Case Open.
On July 4 at
11:00pm officers were alerted that there had been a fire in the
Frances Perkins House kitchen. The fire had been extinguished (Incident
#07-198-OF).
On July 2 at
2:52pm officers were alerted that there had been a fire near Clapp
Hall. The fire had been extinguished (Incident #07-197-OF).
