Mount Holyoke College is a member of the Consortium
on Financing Higher Education (COFHE). Established in 1974,
COFHE was originally established to examine financial issues although
its mission has now expanded to include many other aspects of higher
education. Currently, thirty-one private colleges and universities
belong to COFHE and participate actively in the research and other
projects of the Consortium.
COFHE coordinates surveys among the member institutions; some
annually and some on a periodic basis. Mount Holyoke College
participates in the COFHE Senior
Survey annually, the Enrolled Student
Survey, and most other periodic COFHE surveys. Occasionally,
COFHE coordinates a Cycles survey which
allows Mount Holyoke access to student satisfaction data from
institutions outside the Five College Consortium in those years
