The Integrated Postsecondary
Education Data System (IPEDS) is the core postsecondary
education data collection program established by the National
Center for Education Statistics. It is a single, comprehensive
system that encompasses all identified institutions whose
primary purpose is to provide postsecondary education.
IPEDS consists of institution-level data from approximately
9,900 institutions on the following components of higher education:
