Get Involved
A successful EMS requires input and active participation from across campus. The EMS Steering Committee provides oversight for the program. Each focus area has a Working Group that meets regularly and reaches out to other groups in the Community to garner input.
The Working Groups assess the impact of College operations in their respective areas and develop policies and programs to reduce our environmental footprint. We also have student ECO-Reps and residence hall GLC Reps to increase student awareness of campus environmental stewardship and the critical part they play in making it happen.
Whether you are interested in being on a Working Group or have some ideas you would like to pass along, we welcome any level of involvement. Please contact Nancy Apple, Director of Environmental Health and Safety to offer suggestions or find out how you can get involved.
New this Fall 2009 The MHC Green Living Council is a residential program to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility amoung Mount Holyoke students.
Student members of the GLC include elected Green Living Representatives in each residence hall, and ECO-Reps, who work for Environmental Stewardship.
