Medical & Nursing Services

The medical, nursing, and ancillary services are located in the Pattie J. Groves Health Center. Our team of health care providers includes a physician, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a physical therapist, and licensed laboratory and X-ray technicians.

Our clinical services are available to all MHC students. During the academic session, we operate seven days per week. See hours of operation for details of each aspect of our services and for schedules during the holiday and academic breaks.

Visits to our clinical staff are free.

There are charges for laboratory studies, x-ray, extended care within our infirmary and visits to our physical therapist. Charges for these services are covered by the student medical insurance plan and the pre-paid health center option. If both of these plans are waived, the charges will be placed monthly on the student bill. The student will be provided detailed information sufficient to submit for reimbursement to her insurance carrier, but will be responsible to the college for these costs.

Referrals to specialists, emergency room services, inpatient hospitalizations, outpatient ancillary testing, and ambulance services are covered by the Student Medical Insurance Plan. If this plan is waived, these charges will be the responsibility of the student/family or their insurance plan. We encourage the student to carefully consider these health care coverage options.

Please note: The Health Center staff are not participating providers in any health insurance plans or networks. The Health Center does not submit claims to any insurance carriers.
