Women's Health

A woman’s health reflects both her individual biology and her sociocultural, economic, and physical environments. Women should start seeing their gynecologist at least once every year when they turn 18 years old, or when they start being sexually active. Women are 4 times more prone to developing osteoporosis (the loss of bone density, causing weak and fragile bones that fracture and break easily) than men. All of these issues and more fall into the umbrella of Women’s Health. College students have a number of different health concerns that are more specific to their experiences.
