Mount Holyoke has been experiencing a "Baby Boom" of sorts. Within three months, three sets of twins were born to three Mount Holyoke College employees. They are all busier than ever tending to their newly expanded families, and we are grateful that they could squeeze us into their schedules to share their stories with us.
Jim Wehner's Twins Jim Wehner from Dining Services and his wife, Sue, are the proud parents of twins Adam James and Rebecca Michelle born January 3, 2002. Adam arrived at 7:22 a.m., weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz., and was 20 ˝ inches long. Rebecca arrived at 10:25 a.m., weighed 7 lbs. ˝ oz., and was 20 inches long.

Since both Jim and his wife have twins in their families' lines, they were always excited about the possibility of having twins themselves. During their ultrasound, Sue casually asked the technician if it was too soon to tell if there was more than one. The technician replied very nonchalantly, "Yep, there's two." There was laughter at first….and then tears of sheer joy.
When asked how it felt to go from a couple to 'Mommy and Daddy,' Jim replied, "It was a huge awakening---well---because---you are awake most of the time." His advice to future parents of twins: "Before the birth, people would always ask, "Are you ready for the twins?" But I don't think you could truly be 'ready.' Accept any and all (Continued on page
