Noteworthy Events:
A wide variety of events open to staff members and the general public are held on campus. Whether you are interested in music, politics, poetry, athletics, film, or comedy, there will probably be an event on the campus calendar to suit your taste. In the past year, the College has hosted exciting events including The Phantom of the Opera, Live Cinema performance by the MHC Orchestra, the Glasscock Intercollegiate Poetry Contest, an exhibit of Indian textiles and a workshop on Developing a Sane Approach to Exercise.

Upcoming Events:

  • Computer workshops on Dreamweaver—various dates
  • The Capitol-Steps’ famous political satire—December 8
  • Conversations with popular authors of children’s books—December 10
  • Wreath-making workshop—December 3
  • A concert featuring music of the British Isles—December 13
  • Check the EMS on-line calendar, the Happenings calendar (both in print and on-line), and the Five College Calendar regularly to discover events that are being offered.

Campus Trips:
The Fleet Office coordinates bus trips to destinations including Foxwoods, New York City, and Boston Red Sox games. While the November 19th trip to the Big Apple is currently at capacity, consider starting the holiday season with a trip to the city on December 10th. Contact Amanda Bouse (abouse) to be placed on the notification list for future trips.

Enjoy participating in any number of events during your lunch break, or participate in a day trip. All will educate, entertain, or inspire!
