Third MHC Annual Golf Tournament

By Lorraine E. Gendron

Mount Holyoke College’s 3rd Annual Golf Tournament was held at the Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley on Sunday, August 7, 2005. We had an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start under sunny, humid skies. Fifty-six fun-loving people attended the the event. After the event, a buffet dinner was held under a tent at Dockside Restaurant, Brunelle’s Marina.

.

Prizes included: Gift Certificates to Bernie’s Depot Restaurant, Fedora’s Restaurant, and Tailgate Picnic; bottles of wine; golf balls; a putter; a ball retriever; umbrellas; Polish pottery; a Texas Poker set; Tower Theatre Tickets for two; money prizes, and many other prizes.

A heartfelt “Thank You” to Deb Morrissey, LITS, and Breen Fallon, Dining Services, for helping out that day.

Interesting note: This event is for employees, their families and friends, and this year we had four sets of fathers and sons, one mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, as well as sisters and brothers playing together. Breen Fallon’s father remarked, “I rarely have an opportunity to spend time with both of my sons at once.”

A delightful day was had by all!
