Study Skills

Study skills are important for all students to develop at college. For students with a learning disability or attention deficit disorder, study skills development becomes essential for success and movement towards self-realization and independence.

For most students, the move into college means that their life has just become much more complex. A student's schedule becomes complex, with much less external structure and more internal monitoring expected. The foundation for success is time management and planning. Appropriate tools are key to organizing your time and assignments. Practice is the last necessary ingredient to allow the concept of time management and the tools for organization to become second nature.
