Historical Sketch:
Friends of Rowing was founded in 1975, by members of the Mount Holyoke community who wanted see a rowing program established at the college.

Description of Records:
The records of Friends of Rowing contain announcements, articles, programs, annual reports (1976-present), Executive Committee records, and the concert committee records, correspondence (1976-present) and financial records dated (1977-present). The records document the history and operations of the organization including information on finances, consisting of the treasurer's reports, budgets, information about the boathouse fund, and the Bissell Foundation, membership lists, and programs from events they sponsored.
