Researchers
are welcome to visit the Archives and Special Collections to conduct
research. While our primary purpose is to serve the Mount Holyoke
Community, our collections are open to the general public. We recommend
that all visitors call or write in advance to make an appointment.
When visiting
the Archives and Special Collections researchers may be asked to
present some form of identification, and are expected to follow
the rules, regulations and policies of the Archives and Special
Collections.
This section
of our site should provide you with most of the information that
you will need to know before visiting the Archives and Special Collections.
If you are not familiar with using primary sources for research
you might want to look at the section on Conducting Primary Research.
If you have questions that are not covered by the information on
this site please feel free to contact the Archives

outline on services provided to individual researchers, class use
of collections, bibliographic instruction services, photocopying
and photo reproduction services, and loan policies. The section

has directions to the campus, instructions on how the find the Archives
and Special Collections, campus map, and information on where to
stay in the area. The Rules, Regulations
and Policies contains the legal fine print regarding the use
