Graduation Honors

Mount Holyoke College confers several different types of honors when undergraduate students graduate, as well as many prizes and awards that are administered by honors societies like Phi Beta Kappa and by individual departments and programs.  The centrally-administered honors conferred only upon graduation include:

  • cum laude
  • magna cum laude
  • summa cum laude
  • with honor in {a particular field}
  • with high honor in {a particular field}
  • Mary Lyon Scholar
