Frequently Asked Questions

If you would like to have a faith group contact you about their events, please complete the Faith Group Contact Request form.

What are the faith groups that are active on campus, how do I make contact with them, and what specific activities does each offer?

  • See the list of active faith groups affiliated with the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at Eliot House.  There is also a recognized body of faith group partcipants and nondenominational seekers, called the Multifaith Council, who meet regularly for an open dialogue on various faiths.
  • To contact any of these groups and to learn of their activities contact a Chaplain or Adviser directly.
  • For information on other student faith groups see the online Directory of Student Organizations.

Can I participate with a faith group that is not my own because I am curious to learn more about it? Can I be involved in the activities of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life without having any religious affiliation?

  • There are many seekers among those who come to Eliot House.
  • All students are always welcome at each of the faith groups.
  • You are warmly invited to participate in the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life activities with or without a religious affiliation.

Are there any multifaith activities or collaborations among religious communities that are offered by the Office of Religious Life?

  • There are many multifaith opportunities. These include activities designed by the multifaith council, which meets weekly, and the “Interfaith Lunches” held every Wednesday with varied programs led by chaplains, religious advisers, students, and their guests.
  • If you would like to have a faith group contact you about their events, please complete the Faith Group Contact Request form.
