Mount Holyoke College’s Office of Religious and Spiritual Life supports a Muslim group on campus. Liza (pronounced Leza) Lozovaya is our new Interim Muslim Advisor. Each Friday at Eliot House there is a lunch and Friday Prayer time. There is a Muslim payer room complete with prayer rugs for anyone wishing a quiet space for their daily prayers. Prayer Times are available in the Eliot House Lounge on the entry bookcase. When Ramadan occurs during the academic year, Eliot House opens early in the morninig for Suhur and Iftaar is at Wilder Dining Hall. InshaAllah this semester will be a wonderful opportunity for us to study our religion together, to discuss important general and personal issues, to find the ways to be a harmonious part of the environment around us, and to have fun!
My Offices Hours: Tuesays 3-4 pm Wednesday - 1-2 pm; Friday - 1:30-4 pm.

Some of the possible activities we may do this semester are: - Quran Readings (let's say, just a few surats, to be realistic); - Book Club (I'll post the suggested book, that you can find an electronic copy of on-line); - "Moment Of The Week" Discussion (any experience of the week that you can share with other students, concerning your religious practice, school life, etc.); - Muslima Life Conversations (topics can include clothing, cooking, marriage issues); - Trip To A Religious Institution; - Guest Speaker.
