Ellen Kennedy

 Ellen Kennedy was trained and certified at The Findhorn Foundation in Scotland to present Sacred Circle Dance in the Findhorn tradition. Ellen founded The Sacred Circle Dance Community, Newburyport MA (1995-2003) as well as The New Year's Eve Community Celebration (1996-2001). Ellen teaches Sacred Circle

Dance at Mt. Holyoke College through the Office of Religious and Spiritual life. She is known for her ability to incorporate Sacred Circle Dance as a centering and grou

nding force at retreats and conferences, most notably with cosmologist Brian Swimme (“Sacred Circle Dance is a delightful way to access free energy”), theologian and author Matthew Fox (“Ellen dances the cosmic dance”), and with author and scientist Joan Borysenko, PHD.(Ellen, Queen of the Dance - What beauty, love and guidance you bring through us all.")

She has been teaching for the past eighteen years bringing Sacred Circle Dance to primary schools, colleges, Montessori Training, Kindermusic, VNA inner city support groups, The National Convention of Recreational Therapists, The National Conference of Sacred Dance, community festivals, hospitals, assisted living facilities, birthdays, family reunions, memorials, women's groups, men's groups and interdenominational religious events. Internationally, Ellen has taught in Mexico, Ireland, Scotland and Iceland. She has developed and implemented numerous Sacred Circle Dance workshops, weekend training programs, retreats, and directs Sacred Circle Dance Foundation Teacher Training.
