Through a dedicated Mount Holyoke fund, admitted veterans' will be able to enroll at MHC regardless of financial circumstances.

Eligibility

  • Women who have served on active duty (VA definition for GI Bill Eligibility) in any branch of the US Armed Forces or National Guard and are discharged under any condition except "dishonorable."
  • Women who have been admitted for admission through the Frances Perkins Program.
  • Applicants must indicate their status as a veteran on the admission application and submit a copy of their DD214.

Applicaton Process

Students must apply through the Frances Perkins Program admission and financial aid processes.

Financial Aid

  • Tuition, fees, room and board expenses will be covered  with a combination of sources, including reported veterans benefits, federal, state and institutional grants.
  • Veterans in the Frances Perkins Program will not have any loans included in their financial aid package.  Students may be able to graduate incurring $0 indebtedness from Mount Holyoke College.  However, students who need assistance meeting the student contribution should be able to borrow a low-cost federal loan such as the Federal Direct Student Loan (FDSL).
  • Work-study earnings may be used to cover books and personal expenses.

Further details about the financial aid process and eligibility for Frances Perkins Scholars can be found under nontraditional students.
