Student Financial Services will determine if a student is eligible for a Federal Perkins Loan. Mount Holyoke College has access to a limited amount of this federally funded loan. It is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional financial need. This loan is serviced for Mount Holyoke College by ACS Education Services.

The Federal Perkins Loan has a 5.0% fixed interest rate. The borrower has a nine-month grace period from graduation to repayment. There are various deferment and forbearance options available during repayment.

Students will be contacted by email about completing all necessary paperwork. If a student will be attending a Study Abroad Program, she should sign all loan documents before leaving the country.

General loan questions can be submitted via email to Student Financial Services. Federal Perkins Loan borrowers who have routine billing questions should contact ACS Education Services. Deferment forms can be downloaded and borrowers can make payments and check their account online through ACS Education Services
