Blanchard Campus Center
Blanchard is a wonderful meld of modern appointments
and the warm heritage of Mount Holyoke College. The newly
renovated and expanded Blanchard Campus Center is a meeting
place for the entire Mount Holyoke community.
The
light filled central atrium with it's a 60-foot skylight, is
home to the Campus Store, Information Desk,
student mail box area, and
Student
Art
Gallery, public Lounge, Uncommon Grounds Cafe and daily visting vendors.
The upper level harbors the
Day Students' Lounge, the Student Programs Office and the Health
Educator's
Office, as
well as several
student organizations, including C.A.U.S.E,
the EMT's, the Student Government
Association,
the Women's Center, WMHC-FM Radio, Mount Holyoke News,
Llamarada (yearbook), a Student Org. Resource room and an All Class
Boards Office.
Guests
to the Campus Center can snag a snack at the convenience
store or dine at the
Blanchard
Café and
Uncommon Grounds, and choose from a variety of seating
environments, from cozy nooks to Big Screen TV seating
.
A variety of meeting
rooms (non-mediated)
are available
by reservation, but many also come to the Blanchard Campus
Center for informal meetings over coffee.
A mediated Lounge is available by reservation for casual programming, such
as the Poet's Lounge series, or student "talkbacks".
Adjoining the central atrium is the new addition
of the 5,000-square-foot multi-purpose
Great
Room, which offers
a two-story glass
wall with views of the patio seating, naturally landscaped seasonal
ice rink, and Lower Lake.

the evenings
- host to dances, intimate concerts,
lectures, variety shows, and movies.

spaces, reservations
are made through the Conference and Events Office x2153,
