Monday January 7th : Impact Interviewing
Learn specific techniques to answer the most commonly asked interview questions as well
as how to prepare for the interview.
Tuesday January 8th: Developing your Internship
This workshop will focus on the basics of how to prepare and begin your internship search
process. You will also get an orientation to the resources available through the CDC to
support your search process.
Wednesday January 9th: Resume/Cover Letter 101
Employers decide who to interview primarily based on the resume and cover letter. Come
learn the basics of writing these important materials, no previous experience required!
You will begin to create your own resume and cover letter during the workshop and leave
with text you can incorporate into your materials.
Thursday January 10th: Applying for Summer Research and Internship Funding through the Universal Application
Mount Holyoke provides funding for summer research and internship projects in all
disciplines through a competitive application process known as the Universal Application.
This workshop is designed to help students understand how to write a successful
application.
Friday January 11th: How to write a research proposal
In this workshop we will discuss
the elements of a good research statement, including content, structure and "tone." The
workshop will be particularly useful to students applying for summer funding.
