- La Unidad is an organization for self-identified Latinas. We are a cultural group who is also politically driven. We come from all over the country and the world. Our cultural space is at the Eliana Ortega Cultural Center on 4 Dunlap Place. Many of our activities include community service projects. Some include: Girls Inc. and the raising of funds for non profit organizations. Events we do throughout the year are: Latino Day, Latino awareness month, Valentines Semi-formal.
- Jewelry making allows students to learn how to cut and shape stones (ranging from agate and obsidian to lapis and malachite) into cabochons. Then, students make beautiful silver jewelry in which the stones are set.
- Link exists so that one day the crisis in North Korea will not. We educate the public about the humanitarian crisis inside and around North Korea. We advocate on behalf of North Korean people for human rights. We fundraise and support the national LINK organization to protect North Koreans (especially North Korean refugees) in need of assistance and to provide for resources they need.
- We seek to provide a forum where interested students can discuss issues relevent to Filipino Americans and Filipino nationals. We are members of FIND- the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue- and participate with conferences and dialogues that FIND sponsors as well as those of other SE Asian/ Pacific Islander organizations. We seek to spread awareness of Filipino culture on campus and in the 5-college area.
- To produce a memorable, quality yearbook for the Mount Holyoke student body.
- The China Care Club raises awareness about orphans in China, advocates for making a difference at a global level, fosters Chinese culture with the Chinese children adopted into the local families by forming mentorship and organizing cultural get-togethers, and raises funds for surgeries, adoptions, etc. of Chinese orphans.
