SAAFE--Substance Abuse Awareness for Everyone   Peer Education Organizations
SAAFE is a group of MHC students who are trained by the Health Education Coordinator for the purpose of providing alcohol and other drug education and outreach on campus and to student groups. SAAFE also sponsors alcohol-free events and participates in other drug awareness events.
Sacred Symphonies   Entertainment and Performing Arts Organizations
To spread the love and gospel of Jesus Christ through song, ministration, building relationships and supporting each other; thus contributing to the establishment of God's kingdom here on earth.
Sailing Club, MHC   Club Sports
To compete in New England Intercollegiate sailing and provide sailing at our facilities (shared with Amherst College) in Belchertown, MA.
SHRI , Sisters of Hinduism Reaching Inwards   Religious Organizations
Our mission is to promote an active Hindu Community on campus by organizing regular prayers and special events for Hindu festivals. We wish to create an awareness of Hindu customs and tradition in the Five College community. We encourage everyone interested to join and participate in our activities.
Sistahs in Science (SIS)   Academic Clubs
Promoting the advancement of ALANA women who lack the support needed to pursue majors and /or careers in the sciences. Our goal is to retain and increase the number of underrepresented women in various sciences at Mount Holyoke College. The organization sponsors events such as conferences, career and graduate school information sessions, support meetings, and mentoring. Members belong to majors such as: psychology, biochemistry, chemistry, biology, geology, physics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, astronomy and neuroscience. Also, included are those interested in pre-health careers such as pre-med, pre-dental, and pre-vet. Interested non-majors are also welcome.
Society of Art Goddesses   Arts Organizations
The Society of Art Goddesses is a student organization that serves as a liaison between the student body and the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum by coordinating on-campus events and off-campus fieldtrips related to art.
Society of Physics Students   Academic Clubs
The SPS exists to help students transform themselves into contributing members of the professional community. Course work develops only one range of skills needed to flourish professionally include effective communication and personal interactions, leadership experience, establishing a personal network of contacts, presenting scholarly work in professional meetings and journals and outreach services to the campus and local communities
South Asian Student Association (formerly known as AWAZ)   Cultural & Ethnic Organizations
To facilitate greater awareness and appreciation of South Asian culture and heritage through cultural showcases and public dialogue, social events and other interactive endeavors.
Spanish Club   Academic Clubs
Our Mission is to provide a relaxed and open environment for students in the 5-college consortium to practice conversational Spanish while attending special events designed to highlight aspects of Spanish, Latin American and Caribbean culture.
Student Art Board (SAB)   Arts Organizations
The Student Art Board serves as a liaison between the Mount Holyoke College Art Department and the student body. It supports and promotes the visual arts on and off campus by running the Blanchard Student Gallery and organizing events and workshops.
Student Athlete Advisory Committee   Dance, Movement & Recreation Organizations
The mission of the Mount Holyoke College Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the overall student-athlete experience by maintaining a commitment to academic and athletic excellence and promoting meaningful engagement of student-athletes in the athletic, campus, and local communities.
Student Coalition For Action (SCA)PA   Political & Activist Organizations
Organization will mobilize and educate members of Mount Holyoke and the Five College Community on progressive social issues, especially those that affect women, students, and minorities.
Student Government Association (SGA)   Governing Organizations
We, the students of Mount Holyoke College have organized ourselves into a student government in order to: I. Provide a productive tool for students in governing their non-academic lives and academic interests at the College. II. Articulate and represent matters pertinent to the students and other constituencies of the College. III. Establish and maintain communications channels among students, faculty, administrators, and trustees.
Students for a Free Tibet   Political & Activist Organizations
Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) works in solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence. Through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action, we campaign for Tibetans' fundamental right to political freedom.
Students for Israel and Peace   Political & Activist Organizations
Students for Israel and Peace seeks to educate the Mount Holyoke and 5-college community about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict in a way that recognizes and validates the histories, experiences and needs of both Israelis and Palestinians. SIP believes that the goals of both Palestinians and Israelis will be attained through a two-state solution. The SIP is responsible for planning educational programs which present moderate views, promote peace and prosperity for both Israelis and Palestinians and allow for constructive dialogue on campus.
Success, Motivation, and Networking Society, The   Special Interest Organizations
The Success, Motivation and Networking Society brings to students leadership resources that are not necessarily available on campus. We support not only the intellectual development of students but also their emotional well being and mental health. We concentrate on building self-motivation and confidence. We strive to help students nurture their mind, body, and spirit to be more effective leaders.
SUR   Entertainment and Performing Arts Organizations
Our mission is to celebrate the music from different cultures of south-east Asia at Mount Holyoke College. We seek to provide the space, resources, and support for vocal training and instrumentation.
