The Student Coalition for Action was founded in the spring of 1999 as Mount Holyoke's only progressive political action group. The coalition is meant to fill the void in Mount Holyoke's political life -- the lack of a nonpartisan, mulitple-issue group that would allow its members to shape its agenda as times and issues evolve. As the name suggests, we are eager to work with other groups to reach specific goals, such as the in the sponsorship of speakers, teach-ins, and other events. Mission
The Catalyst, SCA's journal of progressive political and social thought, accepts submissions from all members of the campus community. Look for a copy on campus, or check it out here online.
