From the program:
Asian American Interpretive Realities is a theater group made up of self-identified Asian/Asian American performers who want to develop interest in theater, who want to act, and be educated by traditional and non-traditional methods of artistic interpretation. AiR was founded in the fall of the year 2000 to address the concerns of Asian/Asian Americans who wanted to reach out to their communities. AiR hopes to spread awareness about Asian/Asian American cultures, experiences, and identities. AiR seeks to promote visibility, education, and consciousness to interpret and deconstruct myths, stereotypes, and to go beyond the boundaries of race, gender, class, sexuality, and religion.
