* "New World Disorder - Energy, History, Peak Oil, and You"

A presentation and discussion with Kai Wu

"The future ain't what it used to be." - Yogi Berra

Interested in sustainability? But how did life get so UN-sustainable anyway? What's the connection between energy, civilization, and current world events? What is peak oil? And what on Earth do oil, debt, money, and perpetual growth have to do with one another? Come engage yourself in a whirlwind tour that connects history, ecology, energy, population, thermodynamics, economics, geopolitics, banking, war, sustainability, and your future. The Energy Story is a fast-paced, provocative 45 minute talk that will transform your understanding of the most vital issues of our times.

Kai Wu is a graduate student at UMass Amherst studying renewable energy systems and energy economics. The Energy Story has been presented to hundreds of people and is currently being prepared for digital video distribution.
