Wednesday, December 3: 7:30 Clevland L1: State Representative (John Scibak) will be speaking about potential legislative work and internships . Discussion of T-shirt designs and Date Auction Themes.

Wednesday, November 19: Cleveland L1 at 7:30 pm, General meeting.

Saturday, November 15: Protest against Proposition 8 in Northampton from 1:30-4pm. Details about this will be given at the 11/12 meeting.

Wednesday, November 12: Cleveland L1 at 7:30 pm. Planning and sign up for Inauguration trip as well as T-shirt design brainstorming, planning for the rest of the year, and discussion of internship opportunities. Also, discussion of Proposition 8.

Post-Election: General Celebration!

Election Day:

A passenger van will be going into Northampton for the day (the PVTA is also a transportation option) to the polls.

There will be a screening of the incoming results in the Blanchard Campus Center, co-hosted with the College Republicans. Decorum is a necessity, but keep your fingers crossed!

Sunday, November 2: A van & one sedan will be heading up to NH for a day of campaigning.

Saturday, November 1: A van will be leaving to go to NH at 8am for an overnight campaign excursion.

Wednesday, October 29: Our normal meeting will be held in Carr L3 and we shall attend the following lecture together:

Clapp Lab, Hooker Auditorium at 7:30 come attend the "What's at Stake in the Presidential Election?". Come hear MHC professors of politics and international relations answer this question, and voice your own questions and answers from the floor! This session focuses on domestic and border issues.

Saturday and Sunday, October 25-26: The MHC Dems will be hosting campaign trips up to New Hampshire for Obama, Shaheen, and Hodes. To sign up for these attend Wednesday's meeting, or contact Brigid Hurn Maloney.

Note that Phonebanking will occur every Saturday through Election Day from 3-5pm in either Shattuck Cassini Lounge or Shattuck 107.

Wed Oct 22, 2008: MHC Dems General Meeting, Cleveland L1, 7pm. There will be a 1 hour phone bank session for the "Say No to Question 1" issue in the upcoming election as well as opportunities to sign up for upcoming events/campaign trips and purchase T-shirts ($10 each).

Monday October 22: There is an Obama fundraiser with Attorney General Martha Coakley and Ken Burns. There is a $150 minimum contribution. Contact Jane Flegal for more information.
