J-term EMT Class
For more information about the 2009 EMT class, click here.
The EMT-B class is offered over January Term. This year's EMT-B class will be in early January, 2009, and will run into the beginning of the Spring semester. Location on campus to be determined. You will learn to provide emergency medical care and receive CPR certification.
The cost is expected to be around $575 total. A $200 deposit is required by the week after Thanksgiving Break to reserve a spot in the class. This deposit should be given to Cathy (lew20c at mtholyoke.edu). The rest of the payment ($375) is due the first day of class. The cost covers the textbook, materials, and CPR certification.
Email Cathy (lew20c) if you are interested or have more questions! This is a great way to get experience in health care, open doors to career possibilities, and strengthen that resume! And you can join the MERT squad!
First Responder Class
The FR class is currently running on Wednesday nights, 6pm-10pm in Cleveland L1. This class is offered in the fall semesters and is taught by Senior Officer Kevin Fournier. This is a good way to get prepared for the J-Term EMT class, or a great way to learn basic life-saving skills!
