Lack of care for FP House

Sarah emailed concern that the kitchen in the FP house needed renovations and fundraising could cover costs.

Discussed:

  1. Emma suggested possibilities in forming a long term plan for renovations in which this year’s board and future boards will use a portions of funding to renovate items on a task list.
  2. Consider that the college owns the house. What is ours/What is theirs? Talk with facilities and apply for updates.
  3. Sarah Beckford suggested a wish list, senior/board “giving” approach. A committee would work on this yearly, fundraising.
  4. Martha informed us that there is a paid position called a house manager currently being constructed by Kay.
  5. Cultural House-sitter type position may relieve Carolyn from certain duties that            Tracy previously held.  Action – investigate how to secure a sitter for the FP house

Elfing-Fp’s

Concern about the possibilities of too many committees not enough hands. Action Consider combine Elfing with another committee.

T-shirts create and sell FP shirts.

Submit letter size piece of paper with the design and post in the FP house.
It is important to shop for the best price, they can vary widely.
It is possible that we’ll have two kinds of shirts/one as community fundraiser one to identify as FP’s.  Posting will go out to community.  Look at prices, and give estimates to voters.

Action: 1st email submit design requests, then board will consider estimates.

Food

5:30-6:30 is a problem for some people in dorms because that is dining hall hours.

Action: Ordering pizza will encourage participation and eliminate concerns of dining hall hours.
