| MOUNT HOLYOKE OUTING C LUB |
The Mount Holyoke Outing Club Logo, above, was adopted by the leaders on February 9, 2003. It was designed by Anna Bennett '04. The logo reflects all things that the group and its members embody. The logo aims to capture all the characteristics of the club in a bold yet simple way. The strength of our women is shown in the mountains; the river exemplifies the club's openness to change, its willingness to face all challenges, and its trust in the current that takes it on its next adventure. The river also reminds us of the tie we share to our own river, the Connecticut River, and the Pioneer Valley that Mount Holyoke exists in. It is where our predecessors began their journeys, where we began our journeys, and where others will begin their journeys in years to come. The diamond shape that surrounds, with its four points, signifies the directions in which we will go as a club, and the directions we will all go separately in the future; but all are connected together by the shared experiences and memories. |
