Future Goals: I would ultimately like to attend law school and become a patents lawyer in the scientific industry or work on legislation over biotechnology and genetic engineering.
Favorite Professor: I don't have just one: Emily Wiley, Darren Hamilton, Donnie Cotter, and Tom Brookings (University of Otago)
Favorite Class: Biochemistry 311 - Challenging but worth the work
Study Abroad/Internships: Studied at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, 2002
Other political experience: Worked on various campaigns as a Mount Holyoke College Republican.
Other extracurricular activities: Varsity Tennis, Student Athletic Advisory Council, International Mentor, and I think trying to figure out the rest of my life should be included in this list.
How does it feel to be a conservative at a predominantly liberal institution? "It has been something that I've been very conscious of
since day one. I think that at first I felt isolated and alone
but then I found the CRs and realized that other people felt the
same way I did. I now find it a welcome challenge to hear
someone with different opinions from me because I like the debate
that ensues. It definitely made me more convinced of my
political beliefs."
