General Election Meeting

I. Welcome

II. Thank yous

All elected and appointed board members for the 2002-2003 academic year received certificates of merit for their service.

III. Candidate speeches

Candidates for Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer gave speeches per the constitution.

IV. Voting

Election Committee passed out ballots and voting occurred.

V. Election Results

The newly elected officers are:

Kate Mulligan, Chairperson

Elizabeth Geddes, Vice Chairperson

Sarah Peyron, Secretary

Jen Peterson, Treasurer

VI. Announcements

The club will be going to Ben Stein on Monday at UMass.

Anyone interested in an appointed position must contact Kate asap.

First Executive Board Meeting

I. Appointment of Public Relations Officer

Sarah Berryman is appointed to PR.

II. Appointment of Support Positions

Autumn Fincher is appointed to Recruitment Chair.

Heather Lixey is appointed to 5 College Representative.

Paige Selvy and Amy Kurivchack are appointed to Social Chairs.

	Regular Meetings: Regular meetings are held each week on Thursday nights at 7 pm. Meetings are held in the Women in Politics Room, 6th floor, Williston Memorial Library. All are welcome! *Official Membership:* Any community member or Mount Holyoke student is welcome to attend meetings or events of the MHCR. To become an official member, you must be a current Mount Holyoke student and you must pay dues that are decided by the Executive Board annually. Dues fees can be waived in the case of financial hardship by contacting the MHCR Treasurer. Official membership allows you to run for an elected position and to vote in club elections. It will also give you preference in any private or lottery events.
