  • Meeting dates. times, and places are posted on the SGA homepage.
  • Each meeting's agenda is posted on the home page and the minutes from past meetings can be found on the Minutes page.
  • All Senate meetings are open to the Mount Holyoke Community

To present at a Senate meeting, please contact the Chair of Senate, Katie Adler (kbadler).

Please note: all Senator email addresses are valid from on the Mount Holyoke campus. To reach a Senator from off-campus, add "@mtholyoke.edu" to the end of the address.

Hall Senators
Organization Senators

Residence Halls with one hundred twenty nine or fewer residents are represented by two Senators who shall have one vote. Residence Halls with at least one hundred thirty residents shall have three Senators, each with one vote. Elections for Hall Senators are set up by the Chair of Hall Senators and the Hall Presidents of each Hall every fall. Notification of upcoming Hall Senator elections will be posted in advance. The Student Government Association encourages you to contact your Hall Senator about any questions or concerns regarding SGA, the Senate, or on-campus issues. Your Hall Senator votes in Senate on important issues on your behalf. Let your voice be heard; contact your Hall Senator!

Each organization that wishes to have a Senator must annually submit a petition signed by one hundred members of the student body to the Chair of Organizations in support of that organization's request for a vote. Petitions may be submitted at the beginning of either the fall or spring semester, and must be received by the Chair of Organizations prior to the deadline. Each organization may have only one Senator and each Senator has one vote. Organization Senators are required to attend all Senate meetings; funding deductions will occur if an Org. Senator misses more than two meetings. (There is no financial penalty for Organizations that elect not to have Senator representation)
