Cocurricular Life
There's no shortage of things to do at Mount Holyoke. In any given week, students can attend a wide array of concerts, movies, lectures, theater and dance performances, art exhibitions, and comedy events, both on campus and at the other Five Colleges: Amherst, Hampshire, and Smith Colleges, and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. A free bus connects the campuses, and online events calendar make it easy to find out what's happening.
Mount Holyoke students are known for getting involved. With about 170 student organizations to choose from, it's not hard. There are groups for every interest, including politics, arts, religion, athletics, community service, publications, and more. In addition, there are plenty of music, dance, theater, and sports activities your daughter can participate in.
The Office of Student Programs is another great resource. In addition to managing the Blanchard Campus Center, Student Programs brings top artists like Kanye West, Omar Sosa, and Oliver Mtukudzi to campus and organizes such popular programs as Thursday Night Edge, Something Every Friday, and the annual Family & Friends Weekend.
