Family Emergency FAQ

There has been a family emergency/death in the family and as a result my daughter will need to miss class. How can I make sure that her professors are informed?

The best person to relay this information to is your daughter's class dean. To reach the class deans, please contact 413-538-2855 or 413-538-2072. The class dean will directly contact each of your daughter's professors to inform them that your daughter will not be in class.

There has been a family emergency/death in the family and I need help locating my daughter to inform her of this news. Who should I contact?

Contact the Department of Public Safety at 413-538-2304. Public Safety is open 24 hours a day. They can work with you to help locate your daughter. There is also a dean on call 24 hours a day who can be available as a support for your daughter.
