How can I learn more about the Orientation Program?
Check out the Orientation Web site (see link above). This site is updated throughout the summer months and contains lots of helpful information for your daughter as she prepares to attend Mount Holyoke.

Can we bring our daughter earlier than the scheduled arrival date? Why not?
Much work and planning goes into preparing the residence halls for the fall opening. The residence halls are not ready for move in until the official move-in date. We know that travel plans and work schedules can be challenging; please consult the Residential Life Web site for a calendar of opening and closing dates for the residence halls or contact the office if you have specific questions or particular travel issues.

Why are there separate pre-orientation programs for international, ALANA (African American, Latina American, Asian American, and Native American) and multiracial students?
The College recognizes the complexities of identity in today's society and celebrates the tremendous diversity within both our international, ALANA, and multiracial student populations and the community at large. These pre-orientation programs are designed to meet the unique needs of these populations.

Is there a parent orientation?
Yes, throughout the first day of orientation there are events and sessions designed specifically for parents. Please look for the Parent Orientation brochure that highlights these events. This brochure will be available when you arrive and also on the orientation Web site later in the summer.
