Question:
(S.J.) What is an example of a set and binary operation that is not
closed?
Conjecture: ((D.C.) For symmetry groups, if ab=cb,
then a=c.
Question: (??) Are there sets of numbers that are
groups?
Question: (??) Are there subsets of groups we’ve
seen that are themselves groups?.
Statement: (L.L.) I don’t like having 0 in multiplicative
groups.
Statement: (C.C.) I'm suspicious of numbers with
common factors with 6 when we're looking at multiplication mod 6.
