Passing Glances
Laura Blankenship is the Sr. Instructional Technologist at Bryn Mawr College. She has an MA in English and is pursuing her Ph.D. in English, writing a dissertation on the use of blogs in writing instruction. She's presented numerous times on the use of technology in the liberal arts, most recently at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Educause Conference in Baltimore. This December, her article "Technology as a Liberal Art" appeared in Inside Higher Ed ( http://insidehighered.com/views/2005/12/29/blankenship). She blogs professionally at ETC @ BMC ( http://www.brynmawr.edu/etc/etcblog), where links to her presentations may be found, and personally at Geeky Mom ( http://geekymom.blogspot.com). With her colleague Mike Zarro, she produces a periodic podcast, Click and Double-Click, available through iTunes by searching for ETC@BMC (all caps). It is also available through the ETC blog.
