Jesse Chanin is a senior at Barnard College, majoring in Anthropology.  She is very interested in youth empowerment and is the founder and director of Youth Mic, a public affairs talk show hosted and directed by NYC teens.  These shows air every Monday night at 9pm and can be heard live, or in archival form, at www.wkcr.org.  Jesse is writing her thesis on the student strikes at Columbia in 1968 and plans to teach high school in New York City after graduation.
