Passing Glances

Alice Lesnick, Ph.D., serves as Senior Lecturer in Education and Director of the Bryn Mawr/Haverford Education Program.  She teaches courses including Critical Issues in Education, Literacies and Education, Qualitative Research, the senior seminar for students completing the Minor in Educational Studies, and Empowering Learners: Theory and Practice of Extra-Classroom Teaching. She also serves as Faculty Coodinator of a new staff-student educational partnership program at Bryn Mawr.

This project aims to engage students and staff members as teachers and learners working to share and create knowledge reciprocally, to transform campus roles, and to link differently positioned College community members to the educational mission of the College.

Professor Lesnick's research focuses on curriculum studies, including the integration of field experiences with academic study, the nature of reflective practice (and the uses of online and collaborative writing in fostering it), and the moral dimensions of multicultural education.
