Passing Glances
Jamy Stillman is an Assistant Professor of Education at Barnard College, Columbia University. Her research interests include the education of language minority students, literacy and language acquisition, and the preparation of teachers to serve racially and linguistically diverse students. Her teaching reflects these interests, particularly her emphasis on preparing teachers to act as change agents, even in schools that are tightly constrained by curriculum standardization and high-stakes accountability demands.
