Non MHC Religious Advisors

Information for Prospective Religious Advisors

The religious and spiritual needs of our students are served by Chaplains and Advisors from the MHC Office of Religious and Spiritual Life as well as a wide variety of Student Organizations (SOs) and private religious organizations. Religious advisors/chaplains affiliated with private religious organizations must be invited by a registered Student Organization to provide religious services on the Mount Holyoke campus.

Advisors and/or mentors of Student Organizations who are not Mount Holyoke College faculty, staff or students (i.e., outside advisors) are required to register with the Student Programs Office. The College’s Human Resources Office will run both CORI (Criminal Record Offender Information) and SORI (Sexual Offender Record Information) check on all outside advisors.

Student Religious Organizations seeking an outside advisor will use the registration form provided by the Dean of the Office of Religious Life. These prospective religious advisors/chaplains need the approval of the Dean of the Office of Religious & Spiritual Life. Recognition and approval is at the discretion of the said Dean.
