Student Leadership Opportunities

The Weissman Center supports the development of creative, confident, and effective leaders through a variety of programs and initiatives, both local and global. All promote the connection between academic excellence and purposeful engagement at and beyond Mount Holyoke College.

Weissman Center Student Leadership Grants
The Weissman Center supports students as emerging leaders in all areas, ranging from science to the arts. Grant applications for student research, projects, conferencies, and symposia are accepted throughout the year.

Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN)

Mount Holyoke College is proud to be a member of the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN), a dynamic organization that is committed to supporting women for public leadership. PLEN supports students to pursue careers in public service through leadership and skills-building workshops, networking, and mentoring from experienced and accomplished women who are elected leaders and executives working in the highest ranks of government, national and international NGO’s and trade associations, and international financial/trade organizations. PLEN seminars are based in Washinton, D.C. and are open to all Mount Holyoke students. Students interested in attending a PLEN seminar should contact Janet Lansberry at the Weissman Center for more information and to discuss possible funding through the center’s Student Leadership Grants Program .
