Bearing Witness
A year-long series that will explore the issues of testimony, the politics of advocacy, and the multiple ways in which acts of witnessing enable, educate, and inspire us.

Spring 2007
Family Matters
The first part of the series looked at the historical, political, legal, and social context relating to marriage and civil unions. The second part explored ways in which women are shaping today's American military.

Leading Women in the Arts Series: Reflections on Art
This ongoing program reflects the center's support of public presentations by scholars, artists, writers, and practitioners that engage the academic work of the College with the public sphere. Invited guest artists are featured in public campus discussions about the interconnections between creative expression of all forms and cultural transformations.

Migrations
The Migrations series explores the ways in which the earth and humankind are immersed in epic, substantial, and sometimes irreversible acts of migration.

Spring 2006
Acts of Reconstruction
Explores the provocative ways in which land, history, law, art, and society have been transformed, challenged, threatened, and protected as a result of acts of reconstruction.

Fall 2005
Law & Dis/Order
A program inspired by the ways in which law, order, and disorder continue to shape our understanding of contemporary events and political efforts at home and abroad.

Water Matters: Survival for the 21st Century
A yearlong series of events, exhibits, courses, and outreach activities to explore the political, environmental, and cultural meanings of water.
