February 29 - Communications and Journalism

Guest speakers, Audry Manring, editor of the Women's Times, Ruth Espinoza, director of Identidad Latina, and Meg Murphy, journalist and MHC English department lecturer will discuss opportunities, challenges, and possibilities in the fields of journalism and communications

March 7 - Medicine
12:15 pm - Willits Hallowell Center

Join us as we talk with accomplished alumnae and local professionals who are practitioners, students, teachers, and administrators in the health field. Our guests include Brianna Bellows '05, a counselor with The Cambridge Hospital who also is beginning a graduate program in public health; Ingrid Cobb '04, a medical student at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine; Annemarie Heath, a professor in the School of Nursing at UMass Amherst and director of the Collaborative Women's Health Practitioner and Midwifery Grant Program; Carol Richardson, M.D., Associate Director of the Hospital Medicine Program at Baystate Hospital; and Sheila Rucki, Ph.D., Clinical Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing at UMass Amherst.

April 25 - Law
12:15 pm - Willits Hallowell Center

Guest speakers Linda Melconian '70, an attorney and law professor based in Springfield, and Kathleen Brown-Pérez, a professor in the Legal Studies Department at UMass, willdiscuss the broad range of absorbing, challenging, and meaningful options for those interested in a career in the law.  Ms. Melconian will discuss her successful political career and teaching and Ms. Brown-Pérez will discuss the ways in which her MBA and JD degrees have contributed to her legal work in the corporate and federal arenas, and her ongoing scholarship on Indian Affairs and history.
